Cheeseman Transport Announces Driver Pay Increase

07/02/2017 FORT RECOVERY, OH / GREER, SC Cheeseman Transport has announced a pay increase to all drivers effective July 2nd 2017. This driver pay increase enhances pay for driving and reflects an overall increase in compensation of four percent. The compensation changes were prompted to support growth and expansion of the company and to reward the current driver base. Details of the most recent compensation change include a two cent per mile increase on the base practical mileage pay and a 13% increase in minimum compensation for local pickup and delivery drivers. In addition to compensation, Cheeseman Transport continues to restructure operations allowing for a more predicable work schedule. Currently they have been successful in developing routes where 50% of it’s’ drivers are on home daily assignments and providing choice of work assignment (OTR (over the road), teams, and regional) for everyone else. Truck driving school graduates are also considered for employment through their apprentice training program.
